Johnson is a self-taught artist who has developed his creative process throughout his lifetime. Raised on the land in rural NSW and with a love for the country and having the ocean on his doorstep, has enabled Johnson to relay these connections in his work. Furthermore, his travels to over 40 countries have given him a unique perspective on many forms of landscape and the experience to place them on a tangible surface.

 

His imagery appears balanced in a harmonious composition, which allows the viewer to connect with his unique approach and understanding on hues, light and form.
